Open Mic will start at Minglewood Hall’s 1884 Lounge beginning Nov 2nd at 9:30pm. It will be every Tuesday with no cover.

This is a great stage for comics to workout on and record their sets. Open Mic is where all comedians start. This is a rare time in the history of Memphis Comedy with so many stages to hone material.

We want to thank Neil’s for hosting Open Mic for so long. Our farewell Open Mic at Neil’s will be tues Oct 26. His contribution to Memphis Comedy will be recorded in time, whatever that means. Nonetheless a new chapter is starting.

Minglewood is a non smoking venue. We will have the 6th annual Funniest Person in Memphis contest at the 1884 Lounge starting in late April. The finals will be in early June. To go on stage on any Tuesday night, just show up and you get 5 minutes.

If it is your first time on stage, if you get any laughs at all, consider it a bonus. Just dive in! You’ll also see long time professional comics stopping in to work on material. Open Mic is the heart and soul of any comedy community.
